Valentine's Day Arts and Crafts Ideas for Children

VALENTINE HEART MATERIALS NEEDED:
Red construction paper
Scissors
Pipe cleaners
Markers
Googley Eyes
Glue


CRAFT PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS:

• Get red construction paper or foam sheets. Trace out a heart shape and cut it out.
• Now get out pipe cleaners. Fold 2 pipecleaner in half and paste one to each side of your heart cut out for arms.
• Now fold 2 more pipe cleaner in half and paste each to the bottom of the heart to look like legs.
• Now cut out 4 small hearts, paste each small heart to the end of the pipe cleaners. 2 of the hearts will be hands and 2 of the hearts will be feet for the heart guy that you are creating.
• Now cut out 3 small hearts for the face from lighter colour. Glue one of the small hearts in the middle of the big heart...this will be the heart guy's nose. Also paste 2 of the small pink hearts on either side of the nose as cheeks. Draw a smiley mouth, glue 2 googley eyes above the nose. Now your heart guy is finished. Give it to someone you love or a special friend.
