Give a Real book or eReader for your child?

Real book  vs eReader.

There are pros and cons for each, so better to think it over first.

I will always prefer real books, of course.
Children can touch the texture and feel of tuning pages, and the smell of a new book, or the smell of an ancient one. Displaying them on your shelf can encourage children to take them for reading.

The colors of the books, the graphic is just amazing. Children's books are brilliantly designed, some are quite colorful, others are cute, a few are elegant, but all are awesome regardless of the style.

There is a wide range of books available from very early age and these books have attractive illustrations, which give a visual delight and some books also can help with sensorial learning, like having different materials, buttons to press or some books even can release a smell.

But I've found when kids read on Kindle they are a little faster. A case study at Curtis Fundamental Elementary in Florida proved that "With Kindle, students are highly engaged and willing to read for longer periods of time," reports reading tutor, Debbie McCarthy.

The Kindle is so handy. When you finish a book you can transfer the file to some other storage like a CD or USB drive to free up storage on the Kindle for more books. You can store a whole passle o' books on it. It fits inside a tiny purse, for one, so you can take it anywhere.

Kindle Fire HD 7", Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, 16 GB - Includes Special Offers

vTech V.Reader is the Kindle kiddie version. With excellent touch-screen interactivity, nicely animated stories, and different narrators and voices, this awesome eReader will get your little one reading very competently. Contents are downloadable too, so it's a real best buy.

Whatever you prefer, remember:
Books -either real books or eBooks-, should be carefully chosen and it is very important to find an age appropriate books for children.

Why to buy Learning toys?

Advantages When Using Learning Toys with Your Children:

Learning toys, child education games and activities help your children in spelling, reading comprehension and more. Child education is supplemented by reading comprehension, spelling games and other elementary learning activities, so your child learns faster and retains his/her education through an increased attention span. Learning toys keep your child entertained for hours at a time. They’re a bit different from normal toys. Each toy has an objective and your child can play with them until they can finish it! They provide a learning experience that is challenging.

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month

October is knocking at the door and it’s a good time to check out resources for kids struggling with dyslexia. October is Dyslexia Awareness Month.

What is Dyslexia?
Definition of dyslexia says, Dyslexia is a language-based learning disability, and contrary to some beliefs, it is not due to either lack of intelligence or a desire to learn.

-->
Estimates by the National Institute of Child Health and Development suggest as many as 20 percent of all students may have some degree of dyslexia. So did my son. We struggled years and years to try to find out a solution for him and make life easier. We went from therapist to therapist got new books, advice, and teaching method. When he was 8 years old a psychologist suggested me to go and repeat the school year, as he was not able to read the exercises, or any written task from any subject. She even told me, that my son will not be able to learn any foreign languages!
