Why to buy Learning toys?

Advantages When Using Learning Toys with Your Children:

Learning toys, child education games and activities help your children in spelling, reading comprehension and more. Child education is supplemented by reading comprehension, spelling games and other elementary learning activities, so your child learns faster and retains his/her education through an increased attention span. Learning toys keep your child entertained for hours at a time. They’re a bit different from normal toys. Each toy has an objective and your child can play with them until they can finish it! They provide a learning experience that is challenging.

Learning toys are created by experienced educational professionals. The learning experience will be challenging but extremely fun for your child. They have an opportunity to learn:

  • Learning toys develops their mental and physical skills.
  • Learning toys helps engage your child’s senses, as a lot of learning toys discuss touch, smell and hearing.
  • Learning toys help teach your children about the importance of interacting with others.
  • Learning toys help develop your child’s creative skills and even their imagination.
  • Learning toys helps improve and foster their problem solving skills, which needs to be taught from a young age!
  • Learning toys helps develop your child’s cognitive skills.
  • Learning toys develop and encourage good social skills.Learning toys focus on having fun and enjoying yourself. You will notice that most all learning toys encourage social skills with smaller children.

General guidelines when buying toys for your kids:

  • Always read labels to make sure a toy is appropriate for a child's age.
  • Toys made of fabric should be labelled as flame resistant or flame retardant.
  • Stuffed toys should be washable.
  • Painted toys should be covered with lead-free paint.
  • Art materials should say nontoxic.
  • Avoid marbles, coins, balls, and games with balls that are 1.75 inches in diameter or less because they can become lodged in the throat above the windpipe and restrict breathing.
  • Battery-operated toys should have battery cases that secure with screws so that kids cannot pry them open. Batteries and battery fluid pose serious risks, including choking, internal bleeding, and chemical burns.
  • Make sure a toy isn't too loud for your child. The noise of some electronic toys can be as loud as a car horn - even louder if a child holds it directly to the ears - and can contribute to hearing damage.

Regular toys don’t provide your child with any potential to learn. With educational toys you can learn and have fun.

Second hand toys:

While all new products should meet minimum safety standards, second hand goods may have been built to an old standard, or there may not have been a standard at all when they were made. In addition, wear and tear may have made them unsafe so you need to check them carefully before buying second hand equipment. If in any doubt about the safety of items designed for young children, especially second hand ones don’t use them.

Many countries have established their own safety regulations such as CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act), GB, and EU Toy Directive, and companies must ensure that their products comply with the relevant standards before their goods can be sold. Manufacturers have been held liable for injuries and fatalities resulting from design flaws, use of unsuitable materials, and substandard production.
There are general guidelines to keep in mind when toy-shopping, but in order to promote your kid's skills you need to asses the toys, and only buy those which not only entertains them but helps them to develop.
